Got to the top of Imogene okay since then. No issue. Held it at 2200 in 2nd and 2Lo. The weird thing is the big ass fan never came on. Only for a few minutes before this issue started. Letting it cool longer again before heading towards Ouray.
Let us know if you make it back OK.

Later,

Your AC was off? My fan doesn't do the Jetfighter whirl unless I'm running AC.

Glad to hear you were able to continue on your way.

Yeah I kept it off most of the day just so the engine wouldn’t work too hard.
it was just weird that the first time I’ve heard the fan ever, was a few minutes before the error (right as you get thru Tomboy mine). A couple in a 2-door bikini rubicon who helped me check the fuses and rad fan connections - heard his fan running the whole way. If you’re out there reading this - thank you again. And thanks for you guys’ help here.

On our way in the morning. :handsinair:

Weather looks good, but smokey eh?
It is Smokey now. Did not notice it at all until late in the day when the smell it me. It’s not bad, but then I noticed the haze driving down 550 from Ouray to Hermosa. Taking it easy today, might just do Ophir and then relax somewhere. Four 12hr days in the seat.

Had a nice, easy day today. Tons of yellow, almost orange trees - maybe in a week it’ll be perfect.
Did Ophir Pass, then the trail up to Clear Lake - stunning spot. And made for the perfect place to get a cup of espresso. ;)
Jeep Wrangler JL Moab - October? Ouray - September? 2E7AB899-B239-41DB-AFBF-920639FBFEA8

And got another error message on the way down - ESC garbage. Maybe was going too fast on the bouncy stuff and knocked a fuse? Wtf. While the Jeep was shut off to air up, codes/lights were gone afterwards.
Also, two best mods (besides the jetboil/aeropress combo) are that Outback Trailgator and my Powertank.

I have to get a Powertank—on my current ARB single, takes 40 min to sit back up.

Glad you had a great time and made it back safe.

Will be checking out Black Bear early October! The fiancé was on board to spot, until I showed her the drop off pictures! My bad.

Awesome, what all have you done to your jeep to prepare for Black Bear or Imogene? Will mostly stock Rubicons make it?
