Anyone try to order a MOAB with the textured top vs painted? Like the MOAB but just not a fan of all one color. Do you think a painted top could be wrapped?
MOAB only comes with the colored top, but it could definitely be wrapped if that is something you want to do! I have a buddy in Tampa that does that type of thing if you are close enough.

My dealer has not contacted me at all since ordering. Jeep Chat can not give me an ETA.
I would reach out to your dealer and ask for an updated version of your order sheet.

I was just replying the same thing. I've been in constant contact with my dealer (initiated on my side). :)

Sooo pretty!!! How are you liking it and how do you feel about the tires?
My wife's daily drive so I have limited time with it but much happier with the ride then our old Rubicon. Again on Street. Handled the snow we had the other day perfectly. The tires where really really slick the first week or two. I think it took a bit to scrape some rubber. Now not that bad but I'm coming off 33's and a Rubicon suspension so as bad as I hear they are they seem quite tame to me

Sorry if you saw this in the welcome thread but I figured I’d post it here to to add to the Moab thread. Just picked it up today, now to just decide what to do about tires for the winter. I usually run winter tires (Blizzaks) in my other cars but maybe I’ll go with the k02. Decisions.

Looks awesome. Let us know how the tires perform in snow and ice in the future.

I'm going to do something with the tires, not sure if I'll get K02s or some Blizzaks.

What is everyone else doing with the mud terrains and the winter (assuming you live someplace that gets snow/ice)?

I had my first experience with the Mud Terrains last week in the snow. Honestly they were fine, but here's the caveat. I noticed a HUGE difference around 500-750 miles on the tires (I'm currently around 3500 miles on my Moab). I agree they were slick as heck before then. But once they were broken in (which I probably helped by taking them offroading a couple times), the rubber lost that initial factory-smoothness and I've noticed they have a lot better grip. So if you're willing to live with them slipping a bit for the first few weeks, I would expect yours should also be broken in by the time the REAL winter hits in late December or January.

that was probably just all that damn industrial teflon "tire shine" crap they spray on the tires when they detail/deliver. LOL

Decided to get Blizzaks, get them installed next week. The closest size tire they have is 265/70 so about .5” shorter and a little bit wider but pretty close.

Zero disrespect to anyone with a moab, I like them - but am I missing why they're so popular versus Rubicons? Sticker price on my Rubicon with every option possible except for leather, painted matching top (still have hard top), and painted fender flares is about what a moab goes for with smaller tires and no lockers.

Again, no disrespect just trying to understand why people are choosing moabs over rubicons considering how close the pricing is.
