Missing Cable Left of Battery

I bought my wrangler used (2018 JL Rubicon). Months after having it, I noticed this cable under the hood severed off (look to the left of the battery). Anyone know what was there initially?

Do you have factory auxillary 1-4 switches. I can’t tell from your pic but if you do have these switches, there is a wire bundle on the passenger side fender as well as under the passenger side dash that tie in to those switches.

I do have the aux switches. I guess someone just severed the aux 1-4 cables that go to the engine bay. interesting. Thanks for the help!

They’re still usable, just shorter I suspect. Check out this video from @Northridge4x4

Here’s a pic of the interior aux wires at the top edge of the carpet under the passenger side dash near the HVAC blower motor. My wiring bundle was folded over and terminated closer to the center console. This bundle also includes a battery positive and ignition positive in addition to aux 1-4
