My rear window is heavily covered in dust when on trails. This suggests to me that these things would be a nightmare for dust incursion. Fine on pavement of course.

I would have reservations about using that anywhere.

If all the windows are up the low pressure air behind the Jeep would cause exhaust fumes to back into the Jeep interior. The rear window must stay closed unless other soft top panels are also removed to create airflow.

I think this is more a way to keep the bug out than anything else.
The easy answers to your questions just run with no window and test it.
Than add a little wind noise as mesh do generate some

For on the trail, at least out here in AZ, I'd say no as so much trail dust would cover the jeep. For camping, if sleeping in your jeep, definitely would be something worth considering to keep it cool and less stuffy inside. I'm not sure how pressure wise it'd go if just switching out the back window while driving. I feel like this is more for bug control than anything. If you try it out let us know!

good point and agreed. I was thinking this would be with the windows open to reduce buffeting.

I could not actually see myself using this for trail use for clarity.

edit: years ago, I used to drive a Sequoia. One thing I’ve missed on every vehicle since was the ability to open the rear glass and the windows at the same time. It reduced wind noise significantly while still having a constant breeze. That’s where this idea is coming from.

Thanks for sharing this item with us. I almost hit the purchase button because I have two spare sets of soft windows and wouldn't mind sacrificing one set's plastic supports to always have this at the ready.

I ultimately decided not to purchase because I couldn't see the practicality in it for my use case. I like the fresh air flow and drive in safari mode all year with a Tuffy security deck hidden under a tonneau cover in the tub. The screens don't add any value, BUT they would if I lived in an area with lots of annoying bugs. I think this is a great solution for that use case, but luckily we don't have the bug issue here. Please keep us posted if you do purchase this item. Would be interested to see what you think about it after using it for awhile. Best of luck either way and happy Jeepin'!

It is a cool idea. For the price I would just try it and see what happens.

I know this is and old post.. and maybe im the exception.. but I love these.. only issue is you need to find an extra set of windows or unscrew your current windows to add these.. I found a old soft top on marketplace and replaced the windows with these screens.
