Awesome, thanks. I guess that's an issue with mounting MaxTrax using any option in that location. They are super long. I guess the best option is similar to what's shown. I have a 4 person iKamper RTT which interfears with this setup unfortunetely.

So what and how is it offset? Is it the backing plate? How do you extend the mounting point (with MaxTrax Pins) further back? I'd appreciate seeing images of the recovery boards mounted to the backing plate and how it's offset. Thanks!
I also have Ikamper with backbone mount. Rear brace is in the original location. Front had to be moved back to the next set of mounting holes. This will require 4 1/4” washers on back of horizontal plate on each mounting screw.

Forgot to post this last month. I got my fuelpax Rotopax mounted on my Trailrax kit. It is important to note that the mounts that come with the fuelpax are different from the rotopax fuel pax (same company, different products) and I had to get 2 additional mounts from Rotopax to make them fit without drilling.

The fuelpax have a mount with hard circle base that mounts into other racks while the fuel pax have standard posts with no base that fit nicely on the Trailrax.

Got mine hangin on the garage wall..
Getting the lockable handles seemed impossible at the time .
I also had to drill them out to mount the rotopax locking handles.

Really like the functionality and look of this system. Any feedback from owners if you’re on a tight/narrow trail with limbs snagging onto the Rotopax?

From our experience and testing, we have noticed this makes a good "limp riser" for the protection of your hardtop and rear window. As the limbs of these trees must be an appropriate size and not too large, you should not have any problems or worries about the Pak Rax getting caught up in a branch. Since the Pak Rax with a 4 gallon gas tank on the side does not protrude out any further than the side mirror and the rear fender of the Jeep, you will not necessarily be getting that close to any large branches, trees, or rocks in the first place.

Our old test vehicle, Our 2 door JK had leaned up against a rock going up on an obstacle and if it was not for the Pak Rax, the rear window would have swayed right into the rock and shattered the window.

With all this in mind, do not worry about the Pak Rax getting snagged by branches. We designed a robust system to work with weathering and many different types of Off-roading terrains.

Fantastic - appreciate the response! I’m looking to try camping for the first time in June. Probably won’t have this in the budget by then (not to mention supply chain availability) but long-term planning ;).

Amazing, thanks @kosinar Much appreciated. Those are the washers on the outside of the plate in your images correct. Do you recall what the id was for the washer by chance? we have similar setups. Thanks again, cheers!

Could this be used with a yakima gutter mount rack or is the weight limit of the roof used up by the trailrax?

You should be okay! read up on the weight loads for the yakima rack to make sure you are not maxing those out before you put on our product.

I take my TrailRax mount with the 4gal Rotopax attached on all my runs, including trails with branches smacking it left and right. It sits really close to the window which prevents anything from getting jammed in between. Despite taking a beating, the mount doesn’t budge at all and has held up perfectly
