Has anyone filed a claim under such a policy? I've got one with Geico, $10/mo and have their exclusions (very limited) in writing. Sounds essentially identical to an Extended Warranty type deal.
The only things mine doesn't cover is:

Other limits include the $250 deductible ($50 for glass repair) and it is only 7y 100k miles. But at $10/mo that's $840 for the entire coverage and is much less than any extended warranty.
The only things mine doesn't cover is:
- regular maintenance (balancing, filters, oil, bake pads, tires, etc),
- per-existing conditions (which is unlikely as the policy is only offered for new vehicles within their first 15mo of ownership and under 15k miles - I added this to my policy within the first 2k miles), and
- repairs made necessary by intentional damage. The last bit they tried to include stuff that happens because of "off-roading" but I can get around that (which there is more to say on what that is considered here in KY under my Geico policy - StateFarm and Nationwide were not so flexible in their contract language).
