No leaks found.Did they find the source of the air leak? If bubbles got in I'd think there has to be a leak somewhere.
Time will tell…

I’ve been thinking this is an issue on these for some time now. Multiple times I’ve bled mine now with noticeable positive results. Never any leaks anywhere.Did they find the source of the air leak? If bubbles got in I'd think there has to be a leak somewhere.
if you buy some let us know how it works out. I'm kind of leaning away from the heat theory. I just did a trip to Phoenix wheeling all day in 95 degree heat and then again this past weekend in Big Bear where it was 85-90 and had no shifting issues at all.Thoughts on using this product to protect hydraulic line from radiant heat?

(BTW, clutch feels fantastic, still, after. a few hundred miles. I don't see how my fluid was dark black if not from heat.)

That being said every once in a while my Jeep still has a bad shifting day but they are few and far between.
That’s the exact stuff I’m planning on putting on my lines as well. I’ve never used it on anything before so can’t really give input if it does anything or not. It is crazy how dark the fluid gets so fast on these things. I went to dot 5.1 fluid since it handles heat better. Can’t really say it did anything for me. But as I’ve said I have no shifting issues just that annoying sound and ratcheting feeling pedal after the vehicles drives for a while and warms up. Glad to hear shifting is better for everyone now.Thoughts on using this product to protect hydraulic line from radiant heat?

Remember the fluid is shared with the brake system. IMO, it is more likely black from brake heat, than from exhaust heat getting to the clutch line. Will do.
Also, to be clear, I don't think heat caused my shifting issues, but I do think it cooked my fluid and turned it black. There's no way fluid should be jet black after only 66,000 miles.
As to how/why air ended up in my system two years post installation...![]()
Forgot to mention in my last post. When my noise starts/ is currently happening I’ve been using an infrared thermo gun to check random slots in the hydro line. I never get over 180 degrees which is well below any ratings of brake fluid. So whatever that’s worth idk. Will do.

What was the noise you are getting again? That’s the exact stuff I’m planning on putting on my lines as well. That's good insight. Maybe I'll save my $34 and just change the fluid as needed.Remember the fluid is shared with the brake system. IMO, it is more likely black from brake heat, than from exhaust heat getting to the clutch line.
Sorry to hear that! You’ve probably had some of the worst luck I’ve heard of people having with these jl’s / jt’s… I think I’ve posted this video of my clutch pedal (coming from the bellhousing) before, but here it is.What was the noise you are getting again?
I'm happy I finally solved my clutch issues and now my engine has shit the bed. Can't win with these Jeeps.![]()
Oh right yeah I had that as well. Since cleaning out the pivot fork that sound has never come back thankfully.Sorry to hear that! This thread might be dead, but some thoughts...So I had a 2021 Sahara Sarge 6sp, great Jeep, except of course for the clutch. I didn't want to worry about implosion so in fall of 2022 I put a CF2 in, the 3rd gen with hydraulics. It seemed fine, until this winter it started the 1st/reverse lockout crap prominently discussed here. I recently took it to a tranny shop, they said oil was dirty, need new clutch. Now I only took Jeep off-road with the OEM clutch, haven't had time since I put in the CF2, so it wasn't beaten on in the slightest. I don't think my clutch is bad, it has never slipped once, but at this point I was over it. All of my trucks and Jeeps since I started driving 30 yrs ago (I'm 46) have been stick, but the implementation of the shotty clutch and inadequate gearing has pushed me to the otherside, just took delivery of a 2025 Willys, Firecrackder, auto turbo. Let me just say it is a joy to drive and I havne't even gotten on it much yet, only had it 2 days. The 8sp with the turbo and 4.10 gears is perfect. Just saying if you are like me and hesitant to move away from the manual, I don't think you will be disappointed in the slightest, heck you can still shift with the autostick, its close enough! Also the new Willys package is fantastic...
What oil did they say was dirty? The engine oil? How is that related to the clutch? This thread might be dead, but some thoughts...So I had a 2021 Sahara Sarge 6sp, great Jeep, except of course for the clutch.
