When the JK first came out, it was about February of 2007 when the manuals became scarce due to higher than anticipated demand. My JK was ordered in February of 2007 and didn't arrive until Sept/Oct of 07 as an 08 model! Yes, it took THAT long. The guy who ordered it decided he didn't want it when it arrived, so the salesman called me up and I drove up to Chicago to buy it that night. I would not at all be surprised to see demand make them harder to get, especially when word really gets out about how good this manual transmission really is. The NSG370 is ok, but totally pales in comparison to the feel of this new one. I think they'll sell the heck out of them.

Manual transmissions are a dying breed. They are making 10 speed automatics now and they shift way faster than a human can. But I still love to drive a good stick.
