I dug a little deeper on their website and cut/pasted the "specials" from the details:I thought maybe it was because they have the Xtreme Recon package, but that's included in the sticker base price. There's still the $5,000 addendum. When you hover over the "!", it says to look in dealer notes for what this means. All it says in the dealer notes is that it's a white clearcoat paint. Pretty steep markup for white paint.
RThey don't make the 21's anymore (rarer) so they are harder to come by, the 22's should be coming through now.$5k above msrp...and for a 2021, not even 2022. What a special!
I think they count on the average consumer being lazy or first-time buyers. Or that people just really love Jeeps and may see the prices in ads and believe these are expensive vehicles. People also don't really do a lot of research themselves. I love seeing people join these forums to get their info first before they plop down wheelbarrows full of money for a Jeep. You see it all the time on the Facebook groups where people get added to a group and say, "Thanks for the add, first-time Jeep owner here...".I always love this line and am amazed that they obviously don’t check their competition. There are two dealers within 5-15 min of me with mark ups on every vehicle, but then right down the road you can get it below invoice.
Agree, I'm honestly surprised people don't research first. I haven't purchased a vehicle by going into a dealership in over 15 years. I email the sales manager or internet sales manager (not salesmen/women) and negotiate the deal via email. I secure my financing ahead of time through my bank and give the dealership the opportunity to match or beat it before I ever walk into the dealership. When everything is agreed upon, I go pick up the car. Typically in and out in 20-30 minutes.I think they count on the average consumer being lazy or first-time buyers. That's how it should work, and until there are no more suckers left in the world, it won't get much better!Agree, I'm honestly surprised people don't research first. My current '22 is no different, I emailed several dealers' sales managers, told them exactly what I wanted. Only 2 (out of 7 got back to me) and the guy from whom I recently purchased my wife's '20 Grand Cherokee High Altitude 4x4 decided he didn't want to return my calls after their initial low-ball offer on my '16 Wrangler trade-in. So I went with the guy who emailed me back within 20 minutes of my initial contact, thanked me for giving him the opportunity to earn my business, and answered all my questions without trying to sell me something. He had the order typed up exactly how I wanted it within the hour & sent me the POC immediately without a deposit.![]()
That's good to know. I'm getting ready to order and all the dealers here in Albuquerque area look at you goofy if you ask the below invoice question. I understand that Rodeo Jeep in Queen Creek does 5% below also. I'll be calling these places soon to get details. The drive to Pheonix is nice especially if I can save a few thousand. All Arizona dealers are not like Airpark. I got 5% below invoice from Earnhardt Jeep, and that ain't no bull!
R.I.P. Tex
not a fan of this dealer; many years ago searching for a Grand Cherokee wasn't great and my last experience I was inquiring on wranglers and if they knew anything about when XR(before it was announced) would be available to order and was laughed at in the parking lot basically by a seasoned sales rep. saying that the 35" factory wheel rumor wasn't true and dont believe what you read online yada yada. This was a month before the official announcement mind you so rumors were pretty solid. lolI noticed that my closest dealer (but not where I bought) is running a "Manager's Special", but with a ironic pricing twist. Check out the ads:

I've learned to just skip the sales reps and go straight to their leader w/ those questions if you haven't before....seems as if so much turnover and these kids used to selling above sticker they have never been around a deal before. That's good to know.
