Unfortunately I cannot reproduce at will. It happens randomly but only over 60mph which is super dangerous when driving through the mountains as much as we do.
My question is, why do you need to turn the wheel much sharper than that when doing 60mph through mountains? At 60mph, slight adjustments to the steering wheel will have much more effect, than at slower speeds. Is this possibly a design feature to prevent the vehicle from going out of control at high speeds due to operator input in an emergency situation? Is it possible that the steering is electronically limited at highway speeds? Combined with all the new electronic traction control and other "traction aids", which I HATE, is this simply another added "safety feature"?

Looks like a pump problem? Or some sort of binding? Or pump running in reverse? Lol so when you turn left the pump is pushing right...

That should not be a question. Lol
The input is so little that I almost couldn’t exit the freeway. Also, we almost went off a mountain cliff going around a bend. You can barely change lanes. So no, this is not a safety feature.

Can you flip wiring harness plug in 180 degrees? Or is it one way only ? Did this happen suddenly or what?

I'm baffled that FCA wouldn't swap out your steering motor and possible to steering components with new and then conduct tests on the pieces. Their liability is now huge; they knowingly allowed this problem back on the street endangering public safety.

Get a dash cam and set it up in the cabin so it can record the driver, dash and wheel. Then crash and sue for millions.
