Autostop Eliminator is the brand name $99.99
Mmm I guess I dont understand the other comment from the other user, I thought the one you have was one of the originals and it works well. I must have misunderstood, I thought he said you had a knockoff.

I don’t know what he was referring to either.Like I said this is the third vehicle I’ve used it in and 0 issues.I even reached out the the company with a question I had and they were most helpful and a pleasure to deal with

I do own the one he mentioned, it has worked flawlessly. It was popular because I believe it was first to the market and was being sold by a forum member for around $100... but would give forum members a discount... soon after, many came to the market... some were having issues with the $50. Ish priced ones.

I just switched to an H7 when my original started to fail. There is just a small spacer at the end you remove and the larger one drops right in. The blanket no longer fit but whatever.

Yes, the 1st offering to market for the JL was in early 2018. It was the SmartStopStart offering sold by forum sponsor, SmartStopStart.com

Many here (hundreds and hundreds) have purchased the SmartStopStart and in all the years since 2018, there has never been an issue / a hiccup reported on this forum or elsewhere on the internet in regard to the SmartStopStart unit for the JL/JT.

After the arrival of the SmartStopStart unit in 2018, Joe, at ZAutomotive came up with a Tazer JL feature that in essence, also does the ESS button push. At first the Tazer JL had it's issues/hiccups in regard to the feature, but after some firmware updates it no longer hiccuped....

...THEN, in the last couple of years the knockoffs from China, etc. started showing up on Amazon.. Read the Amazon reviews and you will read JL/JT users of those offerings say, the offering worked out kinda, but intermittently did not work, etc... Also on the forums and FB, JL user's mentioned other ongoing issues with the knockoffs. I myself know more then 7 users of the knockoffs that trashed them and then went with either a Tazer JL or a SmartStopStart unit.

I have no skin in the game so to speak... I just want to get the word out about these crapola knockoffs... AND.... why would anyone knowingly, buy an iffy knockoff, if you can get an offering that never ever hiccups, is used by many many fellow forum members and is sold by one of our forum sponsor's... and for pretty much the same price..

In closing buy a knockoff if you like... your business... I myself know better not to.. and I LOL at you if you buy one if you were told of the isseus with the knockoffs.

Whoooh .... slow down...

I appreciate that great write up. That is some really good background information.
But
I did buy and do own the original offering... and you are correct, I've never had an issue.
* maybe you misunderstood me or my grammar is confusing... BUT I AGREE with you, don't buy the $50 cheap China Knockoffs... if you can afford it, get the original.*

I did the aux bypass years ago. When the factory H6 went bad, I replaced with an H7 without any issues. I chose the H7 since more choices were available plus a bit more CCA.
So…

H6 if using ESS, H7 if I plan to do the ESS bypass? Not, remove it, simply unplug the fuse and tape off the cable. Once I do the bypass is there anything I need to do inside the vehicle, settings wise?

I have a 2022 Sahara (no tow pkg). On some sites the 2.0L 14 DOHC DI Turbo ESS isn’t an option. They list the 3.6 Hybrid, the 3.6 Gas, and the 3.0 diesel. Should I choose the 3.6 gas or go back a step and choose a different model/trim?

I've just got a wire from N1 to N2 to bypass. Mine is just the standard 3.6 gas.
