So, I have been flat towing my 2021 Rubicon around the country for the past month. Somehow, a few days ago, I drained the battery, so I jumped it and it started up no problem. The problem however, is that I lost all power steering, the radio, and all the charging ports. I am in my way home in a few days, so I should be able to get it into the shop in a week or two (all shops are jammed up), but is there anything I can try to fix it? I have checked several of the fuses I thought might be a problem, and they were all good. I tried disconnecting the battery (overnight), and still had the issue after reconnecting. Its drivable, but obviously difficult steering, so I can still get around, but until I can get it to the ship, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

Have you checked fuses? That would be the first place for me.

Are you testing with a voltmeter or a test light?
E-torque or no?
How many warning lights and messages come up on the dash at startup, and which ones?

I currently do not have voltmeter or anything similar to test with. There are no warning messages that come up on the dash, and none of the dealers in Sioux Falls have time to help for the next 2 weeks. They will not even take the time to just run a scan (apparently it takes hours...or so they say). I will be making an appointment with my dealer at home, but I was really hoping there was something simple I could do during my travel.

Buy a multimeter. When you jump started it, where exactly did you place the leads? Also, if you need help, need to know whether you have Etorque or not and if you are receiving warning lights

I have a multimeter at home, but that's still 1000 miles away. The Jeep is only being towed at this point since we are now making our way home. I'll recheck the fuses to make sure I didn't overlook something, otherwise I'll just have to wait until I get home.

You can’t check the main fuses visually, and they’re the most likely culprit when problems pop up right after a jump start.

You really ought to use a code reader first.

UPDATE: So, it's been in the shop now for 2 days, and they finally got everything fixed. No fuses were bad, but they found the radio was not wired correctly (explains radio issues from the day I bought it), and they just started replacing steering components until it started working again. Of course nobody can explain root cause of failure and if it was related to a jump start, or something mechanical/hydraulic. They claim that during flat towing, there should be "0" draw on the battery, yet something drained it twice during tow (although 1st time I may have left "acc" on, but not the second time). Maybe the radio being mis- wired was tge culprit....we'll never know for sure until next time I tow for 2 days. Anyway, all fixed and happy to have it back.

I have a Mopar flat tow harness in my JLUR. I also have a RVi brake that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket. I towed it to Idaho a couple years ago. The battery drained from the brake/tail lights and brake system drain. The Mopar harness has no charging for the toad battery. I had to buy a separate system for that. Don't know if that's your issue. Just my experience with what I have.

No, I have a mechanical surge break, so there is no connection to the electrical. The only item directly connected is a 30mA LED that only activates when the surge break pulls the Jeep break, and I have 2 string bungee attached to the break pedal to guarantee full return after breaking.
