Loose hex nut caused rattling buzzing sounds while driving. Sound goes away after tightening it. Accessed by removing interior door panel.
I bought this Jeep used and didn’t notice the sound when I test drove it. Sound’s been haunting me for the entire week I’ve been driving this car.
Reproduced with my hand banging on the door:
1. Removed the interior door panel to investigate. 5 torx screws and 8 door panel clips.
2. Tightened loose hex nut using
3. Tightening the hex nut resolves problem. No more sound when I bang on the door.
Voila! Sleeping happy and proud of myself tonight.
Anyone else had this problem, why did this hex nut come loose in the first place?
