Loop in exhaust

Was doing the first Oil change at 1K miles, noticed a double u turn in the pipe under the drivers left foot! I'm sure there's a great reason for that conglomeration, what am I missing?

Exhaust tuning, trying to equalize primary pipe lengths to aid scavenging at the junction of the Y pipe.

I installed the Magnaflow loop delete a couple of years ago. Improved clearance off road with some trade offs I suppose
