Not directly on subject but do you really back up with your toad hooked up? I was under the impression this was bad juju. Just checked my owners manual and it is pretty specific that bacon up when flat towing can cause damage. I would love to back up a bit at times without unhooking.
Only once so far and in a pinch. And only for a few feet I would suggest.

You really can't back up very far before the wrong way caster of the front axle flops the front tires over to full lock. You can get away with a bit more if you get a helper to steer the jeep while backing.
This is what the Exact Center helps prevent.

I was able to flat tow my jeep this weekend and it pulled straight and no sway.
Guessing the damaged drag link end was the main culprit and getting my balance beads out of my tires and having them static forced balanced with wheel weights.
Same setup I used before and it Worked well.

I actually have 1 of those hitch tightener.

I had very very small vibration in my wheel at 65mph, I found a loose drag link end and replaced it.
Long story short Ripped front end out and cleaned and greased and checked for slop "going to moab in 2 weeks" put it all back together and aligned it and there was still a little vibration.
Took my tires to discount tire (37 ko2 with 4k miles on them) and got the beads removed and had them balance them.
They said they spin them 180 degrees on the rim, put weights on inner rim so rocks won't rub them off and were able to balance them.
Drove it home at all different speeds and smooth as silk.
Towed it 350 miles up north and back this weekend, drove it around up north off roading zero issues.
Discount tire in my area is the only place that will even touch 37 inch tires.

You'll like it.

My Jayco Class C (E450) came with a heavier rear sway bar, HD shocks, and some other feature for their "J Ride" package. I flat towed my LJ with no problems.

Do reduce body roll, I installed a Hellwig front sway bar, and Sumo bump stop springs. Body roll was noticeably reduced. Flat towing didn't change, but was still easy.

Swaybar and springs only took a little over an hour to install. I have wooden ramps made from 5 layers of scrap 2x10. I used these to install the sway bar. Access to the sway bar hardware was fine. Sitting on level ground, I used the front leveling jacks to lift the front end to remove to rubber bump stops. They are held in with a single 10mm bolt.

I sold the LJ and bought a JLUR earlier this year. Last week, I completed my first long flat tow trip. I towed from hi speed multi lane interstates (I-95 Beltway around DC) to twisty mountainous 2 lanes in Southwestern PA. No problems. I could definitely feel the increased weight of the JL compared to my LJ, on some of the uphills. Braking wasn't a problem for my Blue Ox secondary brake system.
