Hello to everyone out there.
I’ve have a 19 Rubicon with 17 inch black polished wheels. I really like the way they look and am thinking of putting a 2 inch lift kit on it and also swapping out the tires for something a little beefier.
I don’t do crazy off roading...just down some class 4 and some nice trails here in Vermont in the fall/spring/summer.
So, I know there are a lot of options and I/m being a bit vague with what I’m looking for, but any suggestion helps.

There’s a whole tire area on the forum in case you haven’t seen it.

My suggestion would be 35’ tires and no lift at first unless you want/need it. The Rubicon will take them as is.

I have Toyo Open Country Tires. They’re great on the road, look nice and have good traction off road.

I have 35" Milestar Patagonia M/Ts (315/70/17) on an 2019 JLR and love them so far. Wheeling season hasn't started yet so no off-road action, but after driving in several big snowstorms I can tell you they work very well on snow-covered roads..

If you want to keep those wheels, 35x12.50 tires might rub when steered lock to lock and when articulated suspension angles, per some reading here on the forum, unless you run spacers.

I like my factory Rubicon wheels and may go with a 285-75/R17 which is roughly 34"x 11.50. I believe this size will get the most performance off-road, without a lift and wheels and will have less negative effect on fuel economy/acceleration.

For a M/T, I second the Milestar Patagonia. I'm running them in the 315/70 flavor and they are amazing. Smooth as silk on the highway, quiet, aggressive, etc.

For a A/T, I highly recommend the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. I ran those on my last pickup truck and they had amazing traction, wore perfectly evenly, and handled everything I threw at them with ease.

Both of these tires are also very economical.
