I never did. I’ll probably end up going with the MBRP exhaust because if I’m going across any water crossings in the future and happen to dip the rear end further into the water it’s going straight into my motor if I don’t get some kind of exhaust on there. As of right now I haven’t had any issues with water crossings that were deeper than the axles.

If you still have the factory muffler floating around you could cut off the first little section of tubing after the clamp and before the muffler. Make your own turn down essentially

That's a great free/cheap mod idea! Going to toss the muffler anyways, cut it and use the piece.

I deleted the muffler on my 2025 JL and replaced it with an MBRP muffler delete pipe. Saved at least 30 lbs. Turns down. No drone. It works great. Around $125 out the door.
Already smashed the heck out of my stock muffler on Rubicon and had to cut the end off out on the trail. Just bought exhaust loop delete as I smacked that and removed part of the heat shield on it too lol. Thinking about the muffler delete....MBRP is nice price AFE has nicer hanger...dunno probably try the cheaper MBRP....don't want drone though.

That’s what I have too, great option and easy install. Doesn’t sound great when you crunch the cross pipe though :/ lol

I’ve tried to buy used ones for sale multiple times but they sell so fast. Usually owners complain of them being too loud but no drone and gives it a nice rumble and pops. I don’t have an exhaust at all so I’m thinking it’ll either not change or it’ll be a little quieter with a deeper grumble! I really like the way it sounds with no muffler.

I cut the muffler and the resonator off my 2018 and ran a straight pipe while I was deciding on a muffler system. It was a little loud but not obnoxiously loud. I put the resonator back on with a $1000 Magna Flo high-tuck exhaust system. It sounded no different than the $125 MBRP straight pipe I have on my 2025 JL and saved over $800. For the price of the MBRP straight pipe (or the AFe for that matter) I think you will be very happy.

Did you just hi jack my thread! 🤣 All good! I’m glad you figured out a solution for your rig! Now I’m waiting to see what Father’s Day brings! With 5 kids, there’s got to be 1 jeep part as a gift!

@AmericanPatriot100 I kinda sidled right up and side loaded similar information lol.

You don't have stock muffler around anymore to cut that bit off and weld/clamp it on?

No worries!! I do still have it in the garage. But I’d much prefer the mbrp. I’m gonna let you be the guinea pig and you can tell me how you like the sound!
