I too am from North County. Vista to be exact. I have a couple friends that I go out with at least once a month. Trying to get something together for this weekend if you're around.

I also live in North County (just north of Carlsbad Village) and I've wheeled with many on this thread - these are good folks to be on the trail with. I'm definitely up for some wheeling - lately work has had me slammed but I'll post to the group the next time I have a trip planned. Likely sometime in January.

BTW - I'm installing a lift this weekend and will have a Rubicon Xtreme Recon suspension (I believe it's Mopar's 1.5" lift) that I'll be getting rid of for a song and a dance. Let me know if you're interested and I can set it aside for you.

I wheel in this area of the south east corner of California often. Some times a couple times in a week. The Picacho mountains, Oregon and Winterhaven are stock Jeep friendly for 90% of the trails.

I winter in the Yuma Arizona area. I also wheel farther west at times. There is a group of us that wheel together. Usually a couple other Jeeps and mine. I wheel with a guy from this forum that as Jeeped this area for 40+ years.

There are some very cool things to see like the Valley of Names. This is an area that people have used rocks to spell out their names or messages in the Valley.

Google Maps Valley of the Names

make sure you put on satellite view and zoom in.

I will be out in that area in the middle of January through the end of March. We also go to Glamis Dunes, The Mud caves, and Big Bear if the snow is gone.
