I'm going with the stock steel bumper and a bolt-on mid-height bull bar. The plan is to mount a proportional length bar light on top of the bull bar. I've heard that mounting it on top instead of under will make it more prone to damage from brush, but I'm going to go with a relatively low-cost bar light so it won't be a tragedy if it gets damaged and I end up having to replace it. I don't want a windshield mounted light bar because I don't want the wind noise and all of the obvious mounting hardware for them.

What say you? Any suggestions for a good balance of quality and price on a bar light?

Thanks!

I think under the bar looks cleaner as well as protected. Cheap quality light?, I have no experience with them so can't recommend but the ones sold at harbor freight do look nice
