Anyone ordering this? What's your reasoning whether yes or no?

Yes ordered, no question. Between the street legal LED headlamps and foglamps it should both be better on the highway and reduce the need to purchase aftermarket off road lighting. Also the TFL cars video seemed to confirm this.

No.

Needs heat, so TruckLites instead despite their dreaded X light pattern.

However, if I were in warmer climates I would probably stick with the OEM LEDs.

Yep, I ordered them. Out here, need as much light as possible. However, will be adding a couple of bars as well...

i'm confounded by the fact this "package" only includes lighting elements on the front end as opposed to including the taillights as well. Seems pretty stupid not to include them.
Looks like it includes LED Tail Lamps, am I missing something?

That is incorrect. When you build your own on the Jeep website, only LED headlights are specified as being a part of the L.E.D. lighting package.
The image that I posted is a screen shot from the Jeep configuration tool.

I stand corrected. I just didn't scroll down to see the inclusion of the taillights. It's also included in the "Jeep Active Safety Group".

Thanks everyone. I wasn't able to watch the TFL thing live, but just watched part of it and yes it was illuminating

edit: see you already got the answer, was typing while watching the hockey game I mised earlier.. so.. slow.. typing... reply.

LEDs run colder than incandescent, so slush & ice doesn’t melt off as easily, and when driving for 2-4 hours without a stop on slushy mountain highways where you have limited opportunities to pass and get around other slush producing vehicles. Its good to know that you have good/maximum visibility from those brighter/more expensive LEDs, especially if you start in the daylight and end the last hour or two in near total darkness with suicidal animals munching on road salt, etc.

For some people it’s an issue, for others it’s not, sometimes it also depends on the design where slush and ice don’t form as easily on the lenses or can slide off easier, but for the Wrangler with the light housed in a pocket, they tend to pack-up more from my experience.

LEDs never really get that hot on the lenses from the LED alone, although they do need cooling and heatsinks near the back of the bulbs themselves, so companies like Truck Lites add heating elements into the lense to help melt any build-up.

For me it’s a toss-up between heated TL LEDs and proper Wrangler HIDs (not bulb drop-ins) which are hot enough to melt slush. HIDs like Hellas were questionable for longevity earlier, but recent reviews are more positive, so that’s the other option I’m considering, but they still leave something to be desired aesthetically IMO, but their light output is undeniable.
