LED Headlights advice needed

Lots of good information here. Just one thought for you to consider as you shop options. Some people in cold climates complain about LED headlights icing/snowing up because they don’t generate heat like halogens. Others say that’s not a problem — but it’s worth doing some reading.

I installed Oracle LED tail lights on my JLU, replacing the OEM halogen tails. The LED lights were plug-n-play, with no error codes or dash lights ever occurring. ?

I did headlights with no problems, and taillights with no problems. Taillights ended up being duds and went out almost 24 hours later. When I did fender flares with LED turn signals, I get a warning light on startup now every time telling me my turn signal lights are out. Happens with or without resistors. Every Jeep is different.

I just got these in the mail today. I’m in Manitoba, so too cold to put them in.

I installed the rough country ones in the wife’s wrangler. They are awesome! I’m real curious to see how my new ones compare to hers.
I picked mine up from a Canadian distributor, and it was a few hundred cheaper than if I had ordered them straight from Diode Dynamics. They actually told me to order them from the Canadian distributor.

The proximity alert is mounted inside the stock taillights if opted. I don’t have that feature but I’ve heard of issues going to the Oracle tail light with this.
I forgot, I also upgraded my fogs to Oracle again no issue, plug and play.

Yeah I seen Diode Dynamic ones too, they are way too expensive $1100 and $1300 plus depending on the model and the guy told me I have to get a taser for, that’s $400 more.
And yes I got mine from Auto Clearing?

Yeah I got good reviews about Oracles. I am having trouble finding Oracle halo led fog lights, there’s different ones for different models. I have a rubicon JLU, do you have pics or link?

There is a simple resolution to this for lifted vehicles that changes the angle of the sensor. f your Jeep is lifted and/or has large wheels, the BSM may only be picking up tall vehicles (trucks, 18-wheelers, etc). If this is the case, some 3mm thickness foam tape may need to be added to shim inside the sensor cavity to aim the sensors further downward. Vertical adjustment would only be necessary on vehicles where the sensor is greater than 1 meter distance from the ground.Once you've added the first set of 3M foam shims, go for a test drive. If the BSM is still not picking up properly then they need to add more 3M Foam

Is LED flickering still an issue when taking a PWM signal from the headlight harness? That was something that needed correction in the JK platform without LED's. Aftermarket unit needed a PWM harness (basically a capacitor, as I understood) plugged inline with the new lights.

I’m thinking of ordering Oracle Oculus Bi-LED heated headlights.
Did you change fog lights too? Any information on that?

My 02 Rubi has factory LED lights. Headlights are not heated. They pack with snow because they operate so cold. Toronto....
I had a factory taillight go dark. Warranty. I asked what it would cost to replace if I was off warranty. $1,500 Cdn was the response. Thank heaven it was warranty. That was a good Jeep dealer who has done great work for me, starting with the steering box replacement on previous Jeep 2019 JLU.

That's a lot of money!
