LEATHER SEATS HELP

Hello everyone, I need your help. I need to decide if ordering the cold weather package will affect my ability to buy KATZKIN leather seats that are heated/cooled. I want the heated steering wheel, but will mechanics be able to remove my factory clothed heated seats and be able to hook up the same heated mechanism to my new leather seats so I can still use the heated seat buttons? I want to add cooled seats from KATZKIN. Please help! I called KATZKIN and the installer and neither of them new...

Leather seats are optional. You can order cold pkg without leather

Yeah your not locked into leather, you can definitely go the cold weather option without it just like on the JK.

Did you have leather seats seats installed? I am thinking about ordering cloth as well and having them wrapped with Katzkin leather too. I would like to see pictures and price if you don't mind.

I don't have any pictures but this is my plan as well. I can tell you that the Katzkin leather will be a better quality for about the same price as the leather option from factory. With Katzkin if you want to spend a little more they have some really nice custom options as well so you can make your seats unique.

IMO you don't need pictures. I would find a local Katzkin installer and go speak with them. I have had it done on other vehicles and their quality is fantastic.

The dealer cost for the leather trim is $1495. I am will to pay $500 more to get the Katzkin in the color I want.

Me? No - I have yet to get my Jeep. I am going to go to the shop that does this in my area after I buy the Jeep. I know it is going to be 2K to 2.5K at most.

(the logos are only available through the Mopar dealers) I am not sure what dealer you are working with in New York, but their parts department should know about the Mopar leather program. We would be happy to contact your dealer directly if you run into any issues.

This makes life easier. I can have the dealership install the leather seats with Sahara logo. This is good news. I will call the parts department and get a quote.

Now see you learn something new every day! I did not know that. I wish more knew about this before ordering the option through the factory on the standard leather seats. For the quality difference you get and the price I would never order the factory option. I'll gladly pay a bit more for that custom look as well!
