just wanted to give a little update on this thread.
After reading thru all the comments, I started to lean towards Baja lights instead of rigid. I watched a few videos and decided I’d do the squadrons on the a-pillar and some lp6 on the bumper.
I stopped by a local store today to see what they had available; no lp6’s but they had a set of amber lp4’s driving combos they ordered for somebody else that changed their mind.
The manager cut me a pretty good deal, I got the lp4’s for $325 a piece.

now I’m wondering about wiring. Is it recommended to wire the highs the one aux (factory) switch and the lows to another? Or install a selector switch that leads back to one aux switch so I toggle the light then select high/low?
Also, the factory aux switches can’t do 3-way right?
The LP4's only have a high setting to the main light, along with the backlights, which I use as extra running lights. The LP6's and 9's have the high and low setting for the main light.

The main lights can be wired directly to the factory aux switch and grounded directly to the battery or the ground studs next to the battery on the passenger fender. The backlights can either be wired to another aux switch if you want control over them, or to the parking light or drl circuit if you'd rather them come on with those functions. Those 2 circuits can be easily accessed behind the upper edge of the fender flares, which is where the harness is run to the fender lighting.

Here's what the backlights look like as extra running lights...

Thanks for those pictures, and I like the idea. I'll splice the backlights into the running lights. I was under the impression they had more output on the backlight but either way I like the look.

I'll run the LP4-high to an aux switch, the backlight to DRL, and the squadrons (when I get them) to another aux switch.

Then in the future if I add LP6s (depending on how this setup works) then I'll revisit the 3way switch idea. But for now, you've helped me make up my mind. I appreciate those pics!

Another side note, I was looking at reverse lights, anybody have any mounting suggestions for those? I don't necessarily want to drill a hole into the steel bumper for the bracket since I'm worried it would interfere with the tailgate swinging. and I don't have a roof rack and might not ever add one (SOT probs). I also don't wanna mount on the underside of the bumper because I'd hate to damage when offroading.

I'd recommend getting creative to preserve aux options. You could use a relay to swap the LP6s from low to high when you turn on another set of lights, or even the stock high beams.

Do you have the stock rear steel bumper? Not sure if the Oracles work in the steel, but they have a solid setup that is a direct replacement for the red reflectors.

Glad to be of some help, Josh!

Baja Designs has a specific harness that is meant to hook their high/low lights to the factory aux switches, complete with a high/low toggle switch. All plug and play besides the butt connector and/or soldering to the aux wire. Personally, I'd put that switch on the pop off panel below the steering column. It's less invasive than digging into the dash, offers plenty of room to not interfere with anything else, and is out of the way and easily accessible on the fly.

BD lights are awesomely bright! Like daylight at your fingertips. Here's a couple pics, although my phones camera doesn't portray the full blam of light compared to in person. 1st with just the running lights of the Jeep and a pair of Squadron Pro spots on the a-pillars. 2nd is with just one pair of the amber LP4 Pros. For reference of distance, that's a full size bulldozer about 150 feet ahead.
