Received and installed my new Tuffy Security Enclosure that has the cutout for the OEM subwoofer. Everything went together quickly and easily, and fit was perfect! I'm a very happy customer. But...there's a longer story here....

You see, when I first saw the enclosure offered back a few months ago, I quickly ordered it, neglecting to read the part about it NOT working with the OEM (Alpine) subwoofer. After I received it, I wrote to the folks at Tuffy. They quickly responded and pointed out that they won't have support for the subwoofer for a few more months, and offered me a full refund if I returned the enclosure.

Me, being the DIY type with a garage full of stuff and access to a sheet metal shop, decided I will mod the enclosure myself. I pulled out my angle grinder and got the subwoofer stuff cut out, then set the project aside for some higher priority work. Unfortunately, the sheet metal shop I had access to closed about a month later, so my access to a sturdy brake disappeared, and with it my plans to finish the hack job on the enclosure. But, a few weeks later, Tuffy announces the version with the OEM subwoofer suppport. I reached back out to Tuffy to see if I could just buy the panels that were different. They quickly responded that it wasn't possible, however, they offered to give me a partial refund on the enclosure that I hacked up if I sent it back.

I'm REALLY happy with how patient Jason Larson over at Tuffy was with me. They honestly could have said, "well, we offered you a refund and instead you played Dr Frankenstein with the enclosure, so you'll just have to order another one," but instead they showed some real class. These guys have won a lifetime customer (and, hopefully, a wiser customer too ;) )

Looks great. I'm considering buying this, but I will have situations where I need to remove it quickly to have access to the full load floor. How quickly does the top and portion behind the back seats come out?

well, the hardest part would be removing the top cover. After that, unscrew the two hold downs on each side and you can slide all three remaining panels out pretty quickly, I suppose.
