Curious what your RV is at since we both have 2022 Rubicons.
Mine is actually a Sahara- put on some Rubicon wheels/tires. It's a long story on RV($45K) and, ultimately, my fault. On a bad day, I'd say it involved a shady dealer that is now owned by someone else, who took advantage of me to keep the EV rebate. They claimed to be really busy in finance, kept me waiting 2 hours and rushed the process. I should have known better but it was during the pandemic, they had one in stock, I had just sold my previous car and needed to get in something quickly. It was a rookie move and I should've caught it.

Oof, yeah yours is more than my Rubicon. I wonder if you had any recourse back then but lesson learned I suppose.

I might have if I'd caught it earlier. As you said, painful lesson learned. On the bright side, I've really enjoyed it and have an excuse to go true Rubicon next!

I don't buy my jeeps to make money off the sale.. these are lifestyle vehicles and I expect to keep mine around the time the hybrid/battery warranty runs out. I bought my 2024 outright (no lease) and hoping that all possible gremlins show up before the 3 year comprehensive runs out - after which it should be smooth sailing to the hybrid warranty time expiry. By then the new gen wrangler should be out and up to 2nd or 3rd model year - that's when my next swap would be. I usually keep my vehicles for 5-6 years to get the best fun/memories/experience out of them.
I wondered if anyone else had the same strategy as I have.

2021 Rubicon 4xe
At this moment I’m looking at buying out my 2022 Rubi 4xe lease at 22k miles. There’s a few high mileage folk on the Reddit subreddit and FB group. I’ve seen a bunch over 70k and one posted at 100k miles.

Based on my own super non scientific methods it seems you either get a solid 4XE or a complete and utter lemon that’ll live its life at the service center.
I hate to say it, but your 100% correct. My 2021 Rubicon 4xe had many issues - across the board. CEL on many times, steering gear caused pulling, high voltage battery cooler replaced twice (in 6 months!), the many recalls. But, my 2024 Sahara 4xe has been flawless. Drives great, battery gets 24-26 miles a charge (I'm at 50mpg right now), and steering much better. The only thing I've been to the dealer for is an oil change and tire rotation. So ya, I'd say you hit this on the head.

I guess I hate to be the bearer of bad news but we turned in both 2022 4xe leases... one had HV battery failure at 22k miles and the other was on it's way out at 24k miles, battery SOH was dropping fast and engine was kicking on and off constantly (every 2 or so seconds).

One of them was already up for lease turn in and the one that was on the way out, turned in 6 months early, didn't want to deal with it.

21 rubicon 4xe 45k miles 0 issues. All recalls completed.

solid cars or lemons. No in between lol.

my 21 was made in 22 and in NY evs and pehv follow calis laws on warranties. So the hybrid power train is warrantied out for 10 years or 150k. So I have until 2032 or 100k more miles which I barely drive. So another 7 years on this rig. Sitting at 40MPG , lvl 2 charging and no other issues. Bought it at auction for 30k. Id be hard pressed to find another rubicon at this price non 4xe.

I’m assuming at this point with all the class actions popping up by the time our batteries or warranties go we will be either getting new improved batteries or a big settlement check. I’m gonna ride this one out.
