Jeez… I hope you get this sorted.

That sounds very familiar.I made an inquiry to katzkin a few years ago and there cs was terrible. they said the local installer closest to me was about 200 miles away. I asked for the name of the installer as i wanted to check the installers reputation out. they would not give me the name. they said I had to make the order first then they would tell. That was a red flag to me.
I am hoping @Katzkin will do the right thing without the need to go that route.I’m surprised at the lack of support you have received. Have you tried the social media route of posting pics and a review on their facebook, instagram, and any other social media site they have a presence on?

You can link the review back to this site and show them that their lack of customer support and product quality is being seen by a large demographic.
Thanks for your post. What a buzz kill. Sorry you're experiencing this. I've thought about Katzkins for my JL but am a bit torn, actually liking the black cloth now. After this situation I'm inclined to stick with my OEM cloths + Carhartt seat covers. They're not sexy but they don't stink. Good luck and please update as able.
Thanks for your post.Since you located the source of the leather smell, isn't it just a matter of calling the installer to just tighten it up a bit??
