Joining Jeep wave program, and getting oil changes.

Hi All

Just purchased a like new 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4 door Rubicon Extreme recon with 1900 miles, previous owner has had it one year.
Anyone know if I join the Jeep wave will I get the free oil changes, has not even had its first one yet. I have added it to my garage on the Mopar dashboard. I took possession and changed the title today so its not in there system as the owner yet.
Hope someone might have had this same experience.

Did you buy it from a dealer? I’d call them and maybe even if it’s not covered they can work something out

It was a private party sale, but he did get it from the same dealer as we got our other 2023, will have to give the jeep wave program a ring tomorrow.

You're better off. To many dealers f'ing up the oil change and tire rotation.

You honestly aren't missing much. 3 free oil changes and tire rotations is about all it was good for.

And oil changes on the 2.0 are so easy it's not worth the hassle of even taking it to the dealer IMHO. I never used any of my "free" oil changes.

Bought mine new, so got the Wave. Never took it in for anything. "Free" anything isn't really. I do my own Oil and rotations every 5.

Unless you like to flush their oil afterwards. Each and every dealership (Jeep Wave) oil change I had done (every one), they installed six quarts not five. I had to then flush and put in the proper amount.

Maybe since I purchased my 2019 3.6L the dealerships have finally figured out the 3.6L on the JL has a smaller oil pan than the JK.

For me, doing my own oil change is a breeze. Nothing to it. I get to put in Mobil 1, rather than whatever weekly deal the dealer's Express Lane contracts out to the lowest wholesale bidder.

I used the free wave oil changes exactly for a free flush. It's just so totally amazing they screwed the quantity each and ever time. Exactly six quarts. You would think they'd be wasting away a quart from their remarkably negligent profit margin. Morons...

DIY, it's a half hour done in my own garage and fully knowing it's done right.

done my oil change 4 times a year on my 08 Jk and the 2.0 turbo is easy, just like to get out of them what I can, our dealership does a good job on on our other 2023 oil changes and I even have a skid plate making it a little difficult, just want to squeeze out of them what I can, life doesn’t depend it though

I can change my own in less time than driving to/from the dealership. Then you have the wait time and then push for unneeded and overpriced services. We can replace your windshield wipers or cabin air filter for $100 each. I never used the wave program since they seemed to overfill the JL.
