My Jeep is about to be serviced for the 60k mile marker. The mechanic said my shocks are done for and advised me to get new shocks.
Vehicle Details: Jeep JL sport S (2.0L i4 DOHC DI Turbo with 8 speed automatic)
Tires: 35in Nittos Ridge Grapplers tires
Lift kit: Metalcloak 2.5" Game-Changer Suspension & Lift Kit
Springs: Rock Krawler Triple Rate Front 2.5" Lift Coil Springs
I originally had the springs that came with the Metalcloack gamechanger lift kit, however the ride was very rough. After some research and advice, I came to try the Rock Krawler (RK) triple rate springs and have had them little over a year. Now during my service request the mechanic mentioned that my shocks need to be replaced...so I need some advice on which shocks to go for to get the smoothest ride on road and highways for a lifted jeep. I know with the lift kit there are limitations, but there has got to be a better combo than the stock (RockSport RED Shock long travel) that comes with the GC lift kit.
Side Questions: Do I need to upgrade or get a new steering stabilizer? Is this a significant factor in the ride quality and why? Which kit would you recommend?
TLDR; Please advise what shocks I can run with the RK springs and 2.5 GC lift kit for my 2020 Jeep JLUS.
