I’m trying to figure out which 2.5” lift springs will be a good match for King 2.5 remote reservoir shocks on a JLUR. The jeep is my wife's daily driver so mostly street use mixed in with weekend rock crawling and some back country camping trips. I’m trying to achieve good road manners, ability to flex and stuff tires at full articulation and have good overland capabilities too. Basically trying to get the jeep to do all things reasonably well, understanding everything is a compromise.
With that, I have no idea which springs to choose. I’ve done some reading on the differences between linear springs, variable rate springs and dual rate springs. After reading a good post from Metelcloack it seems like Dual Rate is the way to go, so why does Accutune use linear rate springs and Synergy use multi rate springs?
This will be my first time putting good shocks on something so I have no experience with how to match springs to different shocks. Do different shocks work better or worse with different spring types? Anything you can share is appreciated, this decision is making me crazy!
