JLUR Rear Headrest Stuck?!?!

Ok so I was doing some gear storage planning for an upcoming trip and managed to get the rear headrest stuck. I have both rear seats folded down in my JLUR and that naturally means the headrests fold/flop forward and tuck into the foot wells.

While looking for storage space I pushed one of the headrests back into the "up" position while the seat is still folded down. Using the seat & headrest release handles doesn't seem to provide any means to put the headrest back into the folded position unless mine is just not playing nice.

Anyone else experience this problem and do your headrest release handles work once the seat is folded fully forward?

Yours is just not playing nice. I did the the same thing a couple of weeks ago with both my rear headrests and the release handles put them back down no problem (while the seats were still folded down). Did you try doing the same thing with the other headrest to see if it behaves the same way?

There is a thread on here somewhere about the release handles breaking, with pics of how the mechanism works if you feel the need to try to fix it yourself instead of taking it back to the dealer.
