From what the estimate sheet said the part is Dana Spicer JL 5.13 rear 220MM Advantek D44 and Dana Spicer 3rd GEN Dana 186MM Front Ring and Pinion 5.13. so 5.13 not 5.18 my fault.
Yep they dont make 5.18’s lol

There are Rubicon owners that are upgrading to Dana 60 series axles and you will see more and more used Dana 44 take offs for sale as time passes. It might be better money spent to pickup a Dana 44 take off and then go to 37's then you can really put those 37's to work...
Thats a good idea. ill definitely keep that in mind

Thats a lot of money to put into a sahara no? 4k for axles, 2k for tires and rims, plus lift plus i doubt OP can wrench all that so money for install...

You guys need to do more research . Im reading Dana 33’s and Dana 40’s on this thread doesnt even exist. The carrier on a dana 30 is very small and is “stronger” over JK but its not a great idea to be running 37 inch tires on a 30... unless all youre doing is highway driving . But if thats the case why even bother with all the other modifications youd need to do to make 37’s drive properly on a sahara?
Sport and base Sahara have 30 front and 33 rear.

This jeep won't be a mall crawler but I also wont be going crazy, some light off roading is all there is by me. with that being said should I wait to see if I can find Dana 44's from a Rubicon and put those in instead of regearing.

Our Rubi has 4.10 with 37s and the 6 speed. It’s sucks. Have 5.13s sitting in the shop. Trying to get them installed on the 23rd. Been waiting for my motobilt diff covers since we ordered them nov 26 but they have been busy. This is a dog currently and really wish we had gone auto. Hopefully the gears will help out a bunch. 6 is useless unless going down a long hill on the highway

It depends what youre going to do with it.
Im located in Staten Island ny and attend college in Albany NY. im not going to be going crazy with it because its my daily driver. I want to keep the jeep for a long time so if putting more money in is what I have to do then that is what I will do. I put this tread because I wanted to see how people felt about it and get some advice as to what I should do

Yr probably better served running 33’s or 35’s and getting a really good winch and bumper. Youll have more fun, learn more and wont be as expensive.

yes but you will likely run into some other issues with that m187 “D30” up front.
