2023 Sahara, 2 inch lift, 285/70/17 XLT (very heavy) tires.
I ride a lot on desert dunes, car performs much worse than stock.
My best guess is weight of winch, steel bumper, tires, and gearing effect of larger tire have made it so (car wont climb and gets stuck in silly stuff).
After research I think the answer is regearing. I want to do 4.5 but the mods shop is telling me to do 4.1 and if I do 4.5 I will come back complaining of shifting issues on sand dunes.
I feel if rubicon has 4.1 on lighter tires and lighter overall vehicle, I will need 4.5 to have a good performance. Any thought? Any truth to the supposed shifting problem?
