Help Me With Used Valuation

Not at all. I’m not even sure I want to, just wanted to see about what I could expect if I did.

It is such a crazy used vehicle market right now. I think it will be hard to pin down. The one thing I like about AT is that you can search vehicles nation wide. I live in Cali, but the Jeep I found was in New York.

When I sold my Mazda3 a couple months ago, checking the "Do you have modifications?" brought the price down on every car buying site by a lot, like several thousand on a fairly cheap car. That was no matter what you checked, even if for the ones that were very specific and you could specify it wasn't suspension/engine stuff.

The only mod I had was a replacement car stereo head unit so I could have CarPlay and a backup camera to go along with it. Removing it made my car objectively worse but brought the value back up lol, and then I later sold the stereo unit on eBay.

Yea I know. We’re all aware of what we’re doing when we start modding. We all know we’ll never get that money back. These discussions have had me thinking much deeper about the question I originally posed.

I want to get top dollar for my Jeep, you know why? Cause it’s the best. I designed it to excel in every situation I might be faced with, no matter how formidable.

One day I might be leaving the gym parking lot, oh look, there’s the super hot chick that every guy in the gym walks by ten times hoping she notices them. Well she’s gonna notice me, why? Cause my Jeep is fuckin awesome, that’s why.

What’s that, local news channel? There’s gonna be the “once a year” dusting of .07mm of snow in Georgia this weekend? Roads may be impassible? Not for me, know why? Cause I got the Rubicon and it has lockers. Do lockers do any good on ice? Fuck if I know. But guess what, if I slide off into a mailbox, steel bumpers bitch.

I could go on.

Point is, this Jeep was built, nay, forged, in the fires of one man’s soul, and only that man deserves to wield her. It’s me. It was always me.

I have decided not to sell.

Well the more responses hopefully the better. You can ask the amount that you want-but aftermarket parts are pretty much a bust-that being said in some areas-Many of us Jeepers like doing the upgrades ourselves and won't purchase. But there are those that don't want to be bothered and will purchase a vehicle already modded-and they would take in consideration how and when the mods were done and how did you put the Jeep through it's paces.
