Back in the 20th century, in the car we would turn on the heater or cooler. When it gets comfy we then turn it down or turn it off.
I suspect that the Jeep has a sensor in the cabin. The heater or cooler blows really hard. When it reaches a given temp it turns down or turns off.
This is probably an example of technology trying to control our lives. I would prefer to make manual adjustments thank you.
