Good luck with them. They didn't even consider haggling with me for 5% a few weeks ago.
The sales manager was working on my order and a "special" price I love, let you know when I see it in my mailbox
Might go over there tomorrow to see it in real life for the first time, otherwise Friday, want to get it order asap :)

I ordered from Folsom Jeep, any chance someone has ordered or received a price quote from them yet?
They quoted me $500 over invoice, when I mentioned tread lightly they said they will honor that.
So 1% under is for sure and got the feeling you might have some negotiation power.
I will stop by this weekend when they have the JL in the showroom and see how and If they can match a -5% offer

They quoted me $500 over invoice, when I mentioned tread lightly they said they will honor that.
So 1% under is for sure and got the feeling you might have some negotiation power.
I will stop by this weekend when they have the JL in the showroom and see how and If they can match a -5% offer
Doubtful. Folsom wouldn't even give me the time of day.

I'm hopeful that having a written order in hand gives me some more haggling power :)
Otherwise I'll walk out and plan me a Idaho road trip

I disagree
It shows you're committed on buying a car at that moment if they work on the price
Might not always results in what you want but it's the final push for sure after feeling the waters via email

yes true your commited and it just makes the get up and walk out tactic much stronger. You are a dealer you have a commited sale in your showroom, he starts to walk out. What are yougoing to do let him walk and go to another dealers? or close the deal?

Have an amazing offer from Dillons in hand, I even print it and take it with me.
They have 30 minutes while I look at the car to see if they can come close, if not I walk out.
Only if you come unprepared they win.

Why waste your time? If they won't match it via email they won't match it in person. This isn't 1956

I plan on doing a test drive anyway before I order, so have to go to at least one local dealer.

Test drive makes a lot of sense. My local dealer I bought from previously ignored my requests for a quote. So I'll just wait until the frenzy subsides.

First model year FCA issues are disgusting. So it makes sense to wait for a 2019 in the summer anyways, and the 2nd part of the production will come online as well with a significantly increased production capacity.
