I had a fresh set of Front Brake pads installed. EBC Yellow, is not new to me, been using them for years on my Jeeps and my trucks.

EBC is as good as it gets. I have a friend who owns a Research Lab focused on the Automotive industry.

He did some research for a Major not to long ago. They wanted braking tests done and that led to various mfg testing their brakes for performance. When all was said and done EBC came out on top Yellow & Green pads. I can't say but you might KNOW the company that wanted the research.

I drove my 2024 JLR-X yesterday and today with them in heavy traffic they WORK beautifully. First thing you notice is stopping power, tis there in spades and YES they do last very long, I have never replaced a set.

Doing a front pad replace on a Jeep Wrangler takes more time to lift the Jeep than replacing the pads

I had to make an emergency stop in heavy traffic while towing. A car pulled in front of me in the left-hand turn lane. I slammed on my brakes and the anti-brake kicked immediately if not sooner. I would have sworn I was going to hit the car and I got out and my bumper was about 1 inch off her car and I said time for EBCs.

Strongly recommend if you are towing these are worth the money and worth the coin if you do not tow!

Why not the new EBC Red Extra-Duty+ for Jeeps?

Other than price/availability, they look like a better pad than the Yellow or Green, at least according to their comparison tool..

Think I will go that way on my Jeep, they are new and I have not ordered them for my Jeep yet I only have about 600 miles on it, and that comes from all my trips to my Dealer to get the TPMS fixed and still not fixed. The dealer is round trip from me 176 miles but they do give me a tank of gasoline every I drive up there..

For you that have experience with the EBC line, it seems for normal "urban" driving, the Elite GreenStuff pads are the way to go.
And
The Yellow or Red would be the way to go for heavy duty use/towing.

Looking for experience with the GreenStuff.... anybody ?

I have run them (Green) on my JKR-Recon and WOW what a difference in stopping power, if you are not towing large then go with the green...

I have used EBC brake components for years with my on and off road motorcycles, they have been pretty well known as the best you can put on a bike.
Well worth the money in a location where you shouldn’t cheap out

On a JK, absolutely. Putting 35s on my JL, didn't notice brakes were affected at all.

My 2018 Sports has been riding on 35s for about a year and stronger brakes are definitely welcomed. I will be ordering the New Extra Duty PLUS Light Truck, Jeep & SUV Brake Pads.

After bigger tires, I've noticed a lot of dust from front OEM pads. Rear has about twice the amount of pads left comparing to the front. With 60k miles, should I replace both front pads and rotors or only the front pads? Rotors look fine from an eye test. Put it another way, is it a bad idea to put new front pads on OEM rotors and left the rear OEM pads & rotors as-is? If front rotors need to be replaced, should rear pads and rotors be done at the same time?

I have wheelspacers and prefer to leave them alone if I don't have to change rotors.

I honestly have no idea what the "correct" thing to do is, but imo at 50k miles, if one set of pads need changed, just change both sets and if one set of rotors needs changed, then just change both of those as well.

With the road salt and high humidity around here, my rotors look like complete shit by 50k miles, so I'm expecting to change out all pads and rotors about that time. And even though I'm really not into towing anything (have the tow package and whatever "upgraded" brakes that includes for the Rubicon), I'm thinking about going with those new EBC Red ED+ pads as well.
