the JL windshield is slightly different from the JK though and doesn't need the rear view mirror cutout... hoping to get one specific to the JL

I don’t think they make a windshield insert to protect the dash

I have never used a sun shade, but like the idea of being able to use it during the summer to protect my bald head

This one says it is for the JL. https://www.amazon.com/Sunshade-Wrangler-4door-Custom-Windshield/dp/B07BMBM388 But it has a cut out for the mirror, which isn't needed. Hmmm.
