It isn't a 4XE, it is 2019 Wrangler. The video continuously uses the 1/4 overlap Wrangler flipping over. The Defender crash tests are the 1/2 over lap and full wall. They use the back seat footage of the Jeep but not the Defender. I know the Jeep does not fair well in the 1/4 overlap but at least show both vehicles in same crash tests. Garbage video from someone who is probably biased and did not show crashed testing results in an unbiased comparison.

Comparing IIHS to EURO NCAP is pretty apples and oranges. Both organizations look at different things to determine "safety"

Besides, even with the Jeep winding up on its side it protects the occupants pretty well and that's what really matters with crash safety.

The Jeep Wrangler consistently has some of the lowest real life fatality rates of all vehicles on the road. The European “safety rating” is not a crash rating. It factors in stupid crap like whether or not the base model has standard automated braking.

That youtube video is obviously third party marketing for the defender. That's not a 4XE, and also they keep repeating over and over the test were the JLU tipped over, making it look like it tips over on many occasions which isn't true. They're just poking on Jeeps long time reputation of vehicle instability.

ain my opinion, the Defender is a royal piece of crap. Whoever buys that car is wasting their money on an extremely unreliable machine and a terrible offroader. Not to mention it is absolutely hideous.

This much is true, the rest is inflammatory opinion. The video is edited to look bad for the Wrangler.

Its pretty hard to get in a fatal accident when you vehicle struggles to go at highway speeds.
