JL started by itself

Our 2 door 2022 Rubicon started itself the other day. The remote was on the countertop and the cats were in front of us so they didn't accidentally press a button.

Has anyone heard of a JL remote starting itself? Jeep dealer said that they have no reports of that happening.

Not to sound like a conspiracist, but there is technology that thieves use to clone your key fob. Maybe its a dry run after cloning to see if you'll notice your Jeep starting. I keep my key fobs in one of those "tin foil" pouches. LOL

I remember seeing a post where the answer to this question was somebody else set up their Uconnect with the wrong VIN and were trying to start their Jeep with the app, but it started the wrong Jeep.

I had a similar problem. My alarm kept going off, locking, unlocking. Key was in the washing machine.

How long does it run for , sounds like it could be dangerous if you park in a garage.

Fortunately we heard it start and turned it off. Had that happened in the middle of the night it could have been a problem.
