The local ACE has several Arrow and Stanley options. I need to go see which one (Stanley) is a combo device.Rivet should just pull out (or even fall out onto the ground) once you drill out the center. I believe the bit i used was 1/8 or even smaller. It don't take much.
No idea where the tiny drilled out bits went.
FWIW i got a combo rivnut / rivet gun on amazon $25 ish. I posted a link on the other thread. Miles better than my old broken arrow rivet gun. Bonus i can now also do rivnuts when the time comes.
Trust me you don’t need to over think this one. Easier and obvious once you take a close look at everything.
I took my time familiarizing myself with the side pieces, the pictures in the instructions and placement before removing the tape backing.
Once you play with it a little all the grooves make sense against your existing trim.
