I want to lower the headlights on my JL Rubicon. Is the correct headlight height 36” high at 25’ away on level ground? That seems to be all I can find on the web.
Technically, no. The correct way to set up headlights is to park the vehicle on perfectly level ground, and measure the distance from the floor to center of bulb on the jeep. Then, 20' away, the beam should cut off 2" below the number you got at the jeep. This will give you the correct throw without blinding oncoming traffic.
