The sport I measured was at correct air pressure height, and on a smooth slab of concrete. Taken from the very back, highest point. Took a ruler from the top of the ridges on the hard top, against the tape. Give or take 1/4”, it’s spot on stock.

Ok. Thanks for the measurement on the Rubicon.

I guess we'll have to wait and see as to how much a soft top adds to that. In the pictures, it looks like there is a bulge in the middle for soft tops.

So 2" higher than the sport you measured?
Tires alone should add 40mm (assuming both Sport and Rubicon tires measure true to their specs). That's about 1.57".

Edit: Oops! That's width. Sidewall height difference is only 15.75mm or 0.62".

Rubicon is pretty much 73-1/2" tall That also is without anyone or anything in it.
Awesome! Thanks! Any chance you'd be able to measure a Sahara? I'm going back and forth, Sahara vs. Rubicon (each for different reasons). If Rubicon already effectively has a lift, that would help me decide

Sahara looks to be the same as the Sport by my measurement.

I had a chance to measure a Sahara and Rubicon at the Hampton Roads Auto Show yesterday. Due to the floor/carpet they both sat on it was hard for me to measure them but by my rough measurements believe it or not a Rubicon is only 1/2 to 1 inch higher than a Sahara.

I know hard to believe and I was surprised to learn this as everyone talks about how high a Rubicon is. But, you gotta remember it is somewhat of an optical illusion as the Rubicon fenders are 2 inches higher than a Sahara.

So, by my rough math if you put 33 inch tires on a stock Sahara you will gain 1/2 inch of that difference back. Go figure, the Rubicon isn't the big beast a lot on here believe.
Other than tires, I'm not sure why anyone thought a Rubicon would be taller.

It's a well established fact on JKs, the rubicon version had different springs that were taller. I know, I know there are lots of discussion threads going over this, essentially sometimes hard top vs soft top and 2 door vs 4 door sometimes changed that, and not worth getting into here. But all in all, Jeeps has placed taller springs on wranglers in the past (which would make one taller), and I certainly expect this to continue forward. In another thread (forget which one-maybe ask the dealer edit lol-it is this thread), measurements were taken of a sport and rubi. Rubi was 2 inches taller.
