Hey guys I just have a question about the proper way or if anyone out there has any tricks on how to bleed the clutch on the JL. I installed the centerforce clutch kit and had a very difficult time getting all the air out of the line. The jeep is currently not drivable due to a leaking slave cylinder. I was able to get a new one sent from centerforce.

Do the centerforce hydraulics look the same as stock? The stock setup isn't bleed friendly as the port for the hydraulic line and the bleeder are at the same location. Any air in the slave cylinder will not bleed if you try the old fashion way of doing things.

What I've done is put the rear up on a set of ramps. Set the parking brake and chock the front tires. Make sure the slave cylinder is pointed slight uphill or else this won't work. Press the clutch pedal down and use something to hold it down. Climb under and open the bleed valve slowly. Since the slave cylinder will be under pressure from the clutch, it will force air up through the bleed port this way. Close the bleed valve, climb out from under the Jeep and remove the prop holding the clutch pedal down. It will not come up on its own, you will have to pull it up slowly. Then repeat the process until you are satisfied all is good.
