I dropped my 2020 JLUR off last week Wednesday to have the Rancho 2" sport lift, Rancho front and rear adjustable track bars and Rancho's geometry correction brackets installed by a local 4x4 shop.
They called me Saturday around 2:30pm (they close at 3pm on Saturday) asking if they can keep it until Monday, as it was not tracking as good as they would like. They wanted to get it perfect for me. Of course I was fine with this.
I get a call today to inform me that the Jeep is ready to be picked up. He said they worked on it until about 5:30PM Saturday to get it tuned in. I asked him what they needed to resolve to get it tracking to their liking, and he informed me that they do not use an alignment rack/machine on lifted Jeeps and do it all by measurement.
Has anyone else had a shop align this way? Can basically only adjust the castor and tire toe as far as I know. I was surprised by this, but the proof will be in the drivability once I pick it up later today.
