JL center console storage compartment

Hi, I bought these storage compartments . I had plastic ones before, but they couldn't be removed and got in the way when I needed to move the seat forward. I chose these because they are metal and can be easily and separately removed, because they are magnetic. I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't mind. So the driver's side was pressing on my calf, so I cut it open and narrowed it all down. I left the passenger side unchanged.
Now it's perfect. I can fit my phone or documents in there and when I'm driving I don't even feel it's there.

For what its worth, I had a set that were similar and worked great, but ...

I have a 2 door, so when I need to get in the back, the passenger seat needs to slide forward, the seat would hit those pockets, and not slide forward all the way. I ended up removing the pockets.

These are on magnets. So no screws, put it away and slide the seats all the way forward.

Maybe on the passenger side, for me that is precious legroom on the drivers side.

Im dont seen any without this cuts yet. But, no big deal, zou can cut pieco of metal and weld it over the cuts.

I absolutely agree, that's why I cut it on the driver's side and narrowed it to 1/3 of the original width.
