Yes, I believe there was a notice on jg instructing those who wanted a refund to pm milous.

I missed that notice. I thought my enquiry in the tracking thread that was directly addressed by an admin would suffice as a request for a refund. Oh well. I'm glad to hear people are getting refunds if requested.

I did get a refund minus 10%. I signed up 3 weeks before they lost tracking. I think they are only giving refunds if you were a member for 60 days or less. They also wanted a lot of info about your PayPal order. Stuff I had never heard of but had to find before I could get a refund. I don't use PayPal hardly at all because they are anti gun. Still waiting for my Rubicon

Did get a full refund 2 weeks ago. Had only been a member to track order for less than a month. They did request numbers off the paypal receipt that paypal posts on your account. Do not see much value in that forum now that tracking died. Did learn the parent company owns a bunch of forum domains.

For those of you who think JeepGarage is just a tracking forum here is a little story.

There is a member on that forum who has worked in the factory for years. Mostly he puts the Rubicon stickers on the hoods.

For a few of the active members there that ordered their Rubicons, he would track them and put a personal note in the glove box as it went down the line. When they got to the dealer and picked up their Jeeps the note would be in there.

And, for what it's worth, some members there created, as far as I know, the original "group buy" flat-rate discount with Koons. Which was also the first dealer to sign on with this site. If I remember correctly the first deal was 10% below invoice on Rubicons.

Yes it has gone downhill and it is not very active anymore. But at one time it was the best Jeep forum on the Internet in terms of inside information. I'm not sure where Milous gets his info now but they used to have a very prominent dealer as part of the admin team, in addition to milous, scotti, and the factory insider.

Unlike most people on this site I have been a member of JeepGarage for about 5 years. It was a great site, though lately it seemed to just turn into a tracking site. They have great people there and it is sad that the tracking got shut down. It was the main way to support the site.

For those of you who don't know the exact same thing happened to this site last year.

The admins offered a refund to anyone whose vehicle was still in tracking. Not many took them up on it. Just saying.

So how is it that this site is able to track but not them?

Only in the impatient modern world do people lament the passing of a website meant to give them day by day updates on the delivery of a car order. Too picky to buy off the lot, to impatient to wait....

The tracking here just gives you a build sheet and sticker when they are available. You could do the same thing yourself by manually using specific URLs everyday with your VIN. The JG tracking was something entirely different that used data from the FCA systems that has detailed (but often delayed and incorrect) information about the status and history of an order.

That being said, what is provided here is very useful because it's automated plus provides things like stats and raw data should you wish to analyze it.

This site used to do tracking very similar to JeepGarage. It got shut down too, in much the same way. That was about 6 months ago i guess.

You won't see this again unless your dealer is willing to give you all the details and I'm pretty sure they can't give it to you in that format. I've seen what my dealer sees and it's a bit of a mess to decipher.

There really is no reason FCA cannot provide this for free. Even the build sheets list order tracking but the line items are missing the "LOL" statement.
