@JeepCares When these issues happen, and the dealer is unable to reproduce the issue, the customer is sent away and told to come back if it happens again. These intermittent issues are not easy to troubleshoot I know. Is there anything a customer can do to collect information at the time the issue is happening to help?

I have not received my Jeep yet but if I would like to know what to do if I get one of these intermittent issues. Letting the Jeep sit and having it resolve itself is fine for a one time thing. If it happens over and over and never at the dealer it will be quite annoying.

I agree. Hopefully the glitch was a one time thing. As @Command Line RC, myself, and other customers have had very similar issues with the UConnect sytem and it's disappointing to see in a new vehicle...

I just parked it. Came back an hour later and it seeeeems fine now.
i've got a cts-v caddy that once in a while, goes nuts. it keeps giving you
voice directions until you delete the destination, pull over, turn the car off
and restart it. then, it's fine for another three months.

the jeep occasionally will not have the climate control work well, and then
ten minutes later, it heals itself.

the problem is, all this stuff talks to everything else on the cann bus.
and sometimes there is a data error.

the caddy had the right front turn signal come unplugged, and the car
would not start.

chit happens.

Haha those problems would annoy the hell out of me. I'm happy that my incident was minor and seems resolved. My only reservation comes from numerous users reporting a broad range of issues. Hopefully these reports will be helpful to others (or Jeep) in finding a fix!

This past Saturday the screen went pitch black. Music was still playing but no display was showing. Turned it off and back on, and still the same dark screen. Went to bed a bit disappointed but the next morning it was working like nothing ever happened. Been having it since January and this was the first time it happened.

I can assure you this is not a one time thing @weeitsmikelee. I'm treating this like a computer...there should be a data log somewhere within the vehicle and my guess is that the dealership can pull the log to see the what/when/how/where/why. My concern is that these Jeeps are anywhere from 1 month to 5 months off the lot. It seems that Jeep didn't test the radio's out to their full capacity @JeepCares,

I have an iPhone and use the CarPlay sometimes but my unit acted up with just the stock radio.

I have 2018 jeep jl wrangler, i upgraded to the 8.4 uconnect and everything works amazing but obviously i have no volume control knob, so i decided to upgrade the selector switch to the one with the climate control, volume knob and tuner knob as well as seat heater steering wheel heater etc... everything again works perfect... except now the climate control does not work, it will not turn on and i cant get and of the climate controls on the new selector switch to work other then oddly the rear defrost button... any ideas would be amazing
