Like I stated earlier, For my Diesel I will keep using the WAVE program cause it pays for itself just for oil changes. ALL and I mean ALL my other vehicles including my SRT that takes 8 Quarts of Royal Purple every track day or 2x's a year are done by me and me alone. But none of the others have a warranty any longer, I've voided those many moons ago!

But the WAVE is a no brainer since I would be spending the same amount for an oil change anyway and it has a ton of other benefits that are included. Just my $.02

I got the Jeep Wave program free with my 2020 Jeep Gladiator Overland and my wife got in an accident with the truck and it had to be in the shop for almost 3 months in fact it's still at the dealer getting the front differential repaired so we used up the rental on our insurance. We rented a Jeep Wrangler for $75 dollars a day and I contacted Jeep Wave and they said they would pay $45 dollars a day so we had the Wrangler for 20 days now Jeep Wave owes us $900 and they are stalling on paying I am beginning to believe the policy is no good. The Gladiator was the only vehicle we had so we needed something until we get the truck back so we bought a 2022 Jeep Compass. If Jeep Wave doesn't pay these are the last 2 Jeeps we will ever have we will go to something else maybe a Ford Bronco!

IMO hell no lol, my experience with 3 different service departments has been bad. I rather change my own oil, I buy synthetic oil when it goes on sale at sams club or Costco for under $30 I believe and the a OEM filter filter is under $10. And ill just rotate my tires every oil change.

Yes! 100x's yes! My jeep was in the shop for a service issue for over a month. called Jeep cares and they escalated the parts. they called the dealer on my behalf every 4 days and sent me an emailed update and on Friday of every week my rep would call me with an update. after it was all said and done, she opened a case and reimbursed my Jeep Payment for the time it was in the shop! HOLY CRAP! that is Awesome! I didn't know they could even do that.

Also, I own a Eco Diesel so my oil changes by themselves pay for the service for me. not sure about the gasser versions.
My Jeep Cares experience wasn’t nearly that helpful. Including the “Kate” here or when I reached out directly. In fact, when the learned I regularly travel for work, they used that as an excuse to blow me off.

I think it all comes down to the relationship you have (and trust you have) with your particular dealer's service department. I had great experiences, but others have nothing but bad things to say about other dealers under the same ownership, so it really comes down to the individual service manager and service writer you work with.

If you have been using them, they know you, you know them, and you trust them to tell you the truth, etc. then it comes down to whether you would pay less with the Jeep Cares than you would on a pay-as-you-go. I can't speak for the other Jeep Cares benefits as I never had occasion to use them. But if I had a breakdown on the road, for example, my speed dial would go to AAA just out of habit.

So--- there is no blanket yes or no answer, every member here has a unique experience based on the local relationship they have.

That being said, I didn't renew simply because I didn't put enough miles on my Jeep, and even left oil changes on the table, so not worth pre-paying for oil changes I was unlikely to use.

I originally thought the program was a wonderful thing. Free oil changes for the first 2 years! Then I took my former diesel in for an oil change and figured while they had it, a fuel filter change. They had my Jeep for 6 hours (with appointment) just to do that. Got the Jeep back, and the entire left side of the engine was covered in oil dripping on the front diff, fuel filter area was also left a mess with diesel in a 2' radius around (had to pay almost 150.00 for that!). I've since traded the diesel, but my '21 JL won't go back unless there's a catastrophic problem even though I have 2 more "free" oil changes. Free is usually worth exactly what you pay for it.

I haven't (and won't) use my free oil changes and rotations, so there's no way I'd pay for it personally. It's just not worth it to me, even free.

Regarding oil changes… got a new wrangler with only 4200 miles… when should I do the first one? Oil life meter on dash still says I have 48% oil life left, but I heard you might want to do it sooner than the 6000-7000 miles…? Thoughts?

Just curious why Jeep Wave should pay for your rental car resulting from an accident? The program provides benefits regarding regular maintenance and warranty repairs, it has nothing to do with accidents.

Regarding the value of the program concerning oil changes. I don't find it valuable at all. I've used 3 free oil changes for my wife's '20 Grand Cherokee, and we have 2 remaining. The first 2 I used at the selling dealership which is a 20 min drive from our home. I know personnel at that dealership and I've used it for warranty items on our JKU. My wife made an appointment for the first one through the "schedule your service" when logged into to Jeep Wave. When she arrived at the dealership they told her "oh you don't need to make an appointment next time, just show up. The 1st oil change took over 2 hours, plus the 20 min drive there and back.

For the 2nd, she just showed up as they told her before, this time they said she should've made an appointment. She waited there over 3 hours, kept checking with the service advisor, who then said, "oh your cars been done for awhile, I don't know why they didn't tell you". They also told her they didn't rotate the tires because the tread was too low, but she could buy a new set of tires for $1,500. They did deduct 1 tire rotation from the number available though.

For the 3rd one, I used a new dealership that opened up 5 min from my home. Same thing, hour and 45 min for an oil change and tire rotation when it appeared there were virtually no vehicles in the service department.

It's simply not worth my time to save <$40 per oil change. A 5 qt jug of synthetic oil is $27, the oil filter is $10 & it takes less time to change than it does to go to the dealership, plus I don't have to worry if it was done correctly.

I'd change the oil now, but I'm kind of a freak about that sort of thing. Oil is the cheapest insurance against future problems. The oil minder is just an algorithm that's guessing about oil quality. By changing it yourself, you gain peace of mind that your Jeep has fresh oil and a fresh filter.

Apologies in advance for slight change in topic, but my JLU will be my first ever vehicle lease. Obviously I will find out more when I sign the papers, but does a lease typically include any regular service that I need to bring it to the dealer for? Thanks

I don't want the Dealer changing my engine oil. There has been to many cases of the oil filter cap being over tight. Plus adding 6 quarts, rather than 5 which the PUG requires. Plus I only run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 oil. I only drive about 6,000 miles a year. So I change it twice a year. Oil is cheap, and I want the engine to last, out here in the Arizona heat.

That was always interesting to me, but was never notified, nor aware, of a "Jeep® Brand event" so I didn't really know what it meant.
