Jeep Wrangler JL Jeep Values - Massive Decline {filename}

Bronco sales are down too. The facts are the facts...Jeeps price increases have outpaced most automakers...so you can't blame it on inflation. Anyone who bought a JL before 2021 and has priced out a similar build now knows it, industry analysts know it, STELLANTIS KNOWS IT. Keep living in your fanboy world...just don't think that the rest of us are fooled.
You're not very good at this. I presented you with a fact you chose to ignore. I'm not sure what fanboy world you're referring to. I'll have some of what you're having though.

Interesting theory, but I'm not buying it. First, credit has been available for dumb purchases since well before I turned 18. I made plenty of stupid purchases, including purchasing a Yamaha RD-400 that I financed through "Household Finance" at a crazy high interest rate, but I wasn't buying things I didn't understand or couldn't use. That's higher tier of dumb.

And I'm a baby-boomer, so guess I qualify as "elderly", but I don't feel excluded at all. I'm as involved as I want to be. I think that's true of most of us boomers.

I'll agree that age flavors perspectives in both accurate and inaccurate ways. Having said that, there's ample objective evidence of our population getting dumber. Our decline is evident in a majority of our incoming pool of job applicants who struggle to read, write, and reason through the same life basics their parents managed with ease. Our newest applicants struggle with the most basic math problems (eg: "How much farther can I go on 18 gallons of gas if my fuel economy improves from 12 mpg to 14 mpg?") Our decline is also evident in our literacy rates and our declining national standing on all levels of academic achievement. We spend much more and get much less. In the 50s, 60s, and 70s, the overwhelming majority of American high school graduates were prepared to enter military service or the job market. That's not true today.

Prior to about twenty years ago I had never heard a public school teacher or a TV newscaster speaking with awful English like, "I seen some seals at the shore", or "Him and I went to the coast to see the waves." Or, "How are we today. Are we ready to order?" or, "He gave Jim and I the assignment." I now routinely hear all of these errors -- from the people who are teaching our kids, modeling our new journalism standard, and raising our next generation. Meanwhile, many other countries are improving by most academic measures. Something is wrong here.

Don't discount the 4 cylinder TJs. They aren't the greatest on the highway, but everywhere else they're great. A simple TJ will get you into the Jeep family.

What happens is folks buy a 4 cylinder TJ (came factory with 4.10 gears), they put a cheap lift on it, 33" or 35" tires, don't regear, and then complain the Jeep is a slug and drives like crap.

33" tires need 4.88 or 5.13 gears. 35" tires need at least 5.38 gears.

Mine below (4 cylinder/five speed) has 33" (285/75/16) tires, 4.88 gears, 3.5" RE lift, swapped in Dana 44 rear, Detroit locker rear, Aussie Locker front. And a bunch of other stuff. It does "ok" on the highway (expect to downshift a lot), but pretty much holds it's own everywhere else.

Can concur. My 4cyl 2000 TJ made it 105k miles before it had its first issue (Throttle position sensor). This was actually my very first experience repairing my own vehicles. Kinda nostalgic.

Hey, how about that! We do agree on something! Thanks for doing my dirty work.

@TheRaven starting from 2021 model year, the base Bronco has experienced an 8.8% CAGR vs 4.1% for the Jeep. How much further would you like to dig?

Now lets see figures on what percentage of Wranglers sold are base models. Then lets compare the Wranglers that actually sell to the other mid-size SUVs out there that also actually sell.

Yes, I guess it's one of those things.

But at least we spend more money per student than any other country. As Bill Murray would say, "So we got THAT going for us!" ;)

Toronto area Canada 2024 Sport $43K after 20% discount that's $29.5K USD.

Seems like a lot of Wranglers gas to 4xe are 17-20% off MSRP
