Hi there Jeepers,
i own 2022 XR with 50K Km. its E-tourque battery died. i
few Q:
1. WHAT is the avarage cost of a new one?
2. is it simple to replace (or any "coding" to the jeep ECM is needed?)
3. is it covered as part of the jeep warrantee period (for 5 years?)

Not sure the cost but it’s covered by an 8yr/80,000 mile warranty. See thread I linked below and screen shot.

Did your main battery die also? If you haven’t replaced the OEM main battery it’s probably time.

I have a 2021 3.6 eTorque w/ 38k and just recently noticed the start/stop feature coming on less and a few random quirks with the radio infotainment. Turns out the battery was starting to go. Not dead but not good enough so I replaced it with a new one. The S/S now works all the time. My theory is that when the main battery goes it puts added stress on the 48v so I’d check it or replace it as preventative maint.

Unfortunately, if you're not in the USA, a federally mandated warranty might not apply to your Jeep...

Its a good point, but isn't it something the manufacturer standardized world wide? (after all, the faulty part is sent back to them and they replace it with new)

The battery itself is "probably" the same worldwide, but the law may only require that it be replaced in the US, or possibly even Canada. (Other countries probably don't care about our laws that much!)

That being said, I'm not a lawyer, nor an automotive engineer!

What symptoms, codes, or diagnosis was done to determine the 48 volt secondary battery needs replacing? I’m just curious what indicators there might have been leading up to this and what proof there is to show secondary battery needs to be replaced. Did the main battery or the generator also fail? Sorry for all the questions.

The car just died, it was diagnosed by a mechanic in the main shop of the official import agency

BTW the check engin was on and the alternator red light was coming and going, there was also communication error code.
